Dear Members and Friends of the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce,
It’s a great pleasure to invite you on behalf of the Pathfinder Group to the traditional breakfast meeting in Davos as follows:
PATHFINDER GROUP’s traditional BREAKFAST discussions with either the PRESIDENT ofPAKISTAN, the PRIME MINISTER or a prominent PAKISTANI personality has been a regular feature for more than a dozen years during the Annual Summit of the World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos.
The China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), an economic force-multiplier for Pakistan, would not have been possible given the security environment prevailing in 2013 in Pakistan’s major port city of Karachi and FATA (mainly North Waziristan). Under Gen Raheel Sharif, then newly appointed as Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Pakistan Army, Pakistan security forces have gone a long way towards eradicating militancy in Karachi, more importantly they have waged a very successful counter-insurgency against the Tehrik-i-Talibaan (TTP) Pakistan who had established an ISIS-like control over vast tracts of territory in FATA. The Pakistan Army carried out these operations denying ISIS any territorial hold in Pakistan without any external assistance.
Gen Raheel Sharif, recently retired as COAS Pakistan Army, has been requested to give a talk about how the security situation was controlled, albeit with great sacrifice by Pakistani soldiers, and what a game-changer CPEC is to Pakistan.
It is a great privilege for PATHFINDER GROUP with the support of MARTIN DOW GROUP to request you to join us.
